BIM Program 3D Viewer functions : Diverse View Modes & Snap Shot


BIM (Building Information Modeling) software having IFC Viewer offers diverse View modes  so that users can get building objects' information from the data more efficiently.

This post is to show various kinds of 3D View modes of Quartz Sys's BIM program  (performa Manager), and the function of 'Snap Shot'






3D View Modes 

1. Orthogonal View Mode

Orthogonal View Mode visualizes BIM object information of buildings vertically or horizontally. Click the icon 'Orthogonal Mode' as the following picture shows, and you can use the function.




2. Perspective View Mode 


Perspective View Mode visualizes BIM object information of buildings supplying perspective. In the mode, building objects can be expressed more realistically compared with Orthogonal View Mode.






3. Transparent View Mode 


Transparent View Mode visualizes building objects like transparent glass. By moving Control Bar, transparency can be adjusted.







4. Foot Print View Mode


In Foot Print View Mode, building objects are visualized as 2D drawings and the 2D drawings can be presented in 3D by level or by user's choice.


  




5. Zone View Mode

Zone View Mode visualizes building objects by zone which user grouped specific objects. Each zone can be expressed as different color. User can remove or add zones.





6. Polygon Edge View Mode

Polygon Edge View Mode visualizes building objects with their edge lines emphasized. Especially, performa Manager has a distinguished ability to express objects' polygon edges. 








Snap Shot function

"Snap Shot" is a function to capture a specific 3D view visualized by BIM viewer. The captured views are saved automatically in the program and user can delete any of the saved views if necessary. And, if you want to see all of the captured views at once, just click the play button as shown in the following picture. You can also save the captures as file.
